Thoughts about Gary

Gary died in his 60s and the only thing I really knew about him was that he had his own spot that he parked in backwards at the hotel and the hotel made a sign for him when he died. But I know he had a good life because he worked hard at real work, took care of his family, and raised his girls the best he could. RIP Gary! I didn't know you well and partly that's because you were not out to brag about yourself or be the center of the conversation.

I miss him he was a good dude he taught me a lot no matter how f up he might have been doing things he would always call me on my b** anyways. And I love making him laugh and he thought the boys were the funniest thing man he would get a kick out of Grayson and Alex.
— Phillip, his son-in-law
I'll tell you this — more times than I can count, we would be down and out, and if we needed something he would do whatever he could and make it happen. He would reach into his pocket and give his last 20 bucks to us.

Not growing up with a dad consistently in my life, he is the person I consider to be my dad. He is missed every day, greatly.
— Phillip, aka Red Leader
When he was on his death bed and intermittently incoherent, I walked in the room and my mom said “dad, Ne is here”. He wakes up for a few seconds and says “Ne is here? He’s a fuckin prick”.
— Anthony (Ne), his grandson
My paw paw may have only lived 59 years on earth but the impact he made will last for generations. Paw paw would give the shirt off of his back for anyone. I don't measure his life by his years. I measure it by the love he gave, the memories he created, and the family that will carry them on. I love you pa pa!
— your favorite prick Nene (Anthony), his grandson
